Our innovative anti tree-climbing kit uses durable brown-coated metal flashing to wrap the trunk of a tree with a smooth metal surface that cats, pets, and other critters cannot dig their claws into, keeping them safely on the ground. Our solution is meant to protect from:

Cats/pets climbing too high and getting stuck in trees where they cannot safely descend.
Your pet climbing a tree near a fence line and being able to escape the safety of your yard.
Keep other critters and/or some predators (squirrels, rats, opossums, etc.) from easily climbing trees in your yard.

Spindles Used

Type	Tree-Safe Wood Spindles per Tree
Small Tree (15-27" Circumference)	1 spindle
Medium Tree (28-60" Circumference)	2 spindles
Large Tree (61-88" Circumference)	4 spindles
XL Tree (88"+ Circumference)	5+ spindles

The wood spindle is attached to the tree with 3 screws and then the metal flashing is wrapped around the trunk and fastened to the spindle.

Guideline for number of trees each kit can wrap

Small Tree Kit: includes materials for wrapping 1 tree up to 28" around. 10' of flashing and 1 wood spindle included.

Mid-Size Tree Kit: includes 25' of flashing and 5 wood spindles. This kit can wrap a tree that is between 29" and 60" around (or up to 88" around with additional spindles).

NOTE: Depending on the size of your tree, you may be able to wrap more than one tree with this kit.

Large/Multi Tree Kit: includes 50' of flashing and 12 wood spindles. This kit can wrap several trees of varying sizes. Some examples are below:

7 trees that are all 17" around or less
6 trees that are all 20" around or less
5 trees that are all 28" around or less (additional wood spindles may be needed)
4 trees that are all between 24" and 39" around
3 trees that are all between 40" and 54" around
2 trees that are both between 55" and 75" around, with enough left over for 1 small tree
2 trees that are both between 74" and 88" around

My Problem was Minimized

My purpose for purchasing this item was actually to prevent iguanas from having the leverage on the tree, to climb high enough to eat the flowers of my plant beneath the tree. It has actually worked quite well for the larger iguanas, because they cannot get a grip on the trunk, causing a great deal of difficulty for them when climbing down from the tree. This makes them not as interested as they used to be in sitting in the tree. I would say that this item worked better than any other option that I have, so I would recommend it. If it can deter iguanas from climbing, it should surely deter cats.

I love the tree baffles!

I love the idea, and I have only put up one and then it got colder than I can deal with, so waiting for a sunny day to complete my project…

This works very well!

It was easy to install, and has prevented our crafty cat from escaping via the trees. Definitely would purchase again.

works but need more

I use it on 4 by 4 pillars my cat was climbing to get onto the roof. He can jump so we had to put two rows on both posts. we need to add a third row of it. Zorro is a climber..

It worked!!

Tried everything and finally found a way to keep my little man in my fence! A squirrel fell from the tree and he couldn’t climb it either!

The brown color blends in nicely with the tree trunks . Easy installation, but best of all safety for our kittens who can no longer escape their fenced yard!
