This kit includes our two specialty tools (the Zip Tie Puller/Cutter and Hog Ringer) and works best with our Freestanding Fence System or the Conversion Systems that are installed on a chain link fence.
This kit includes the Citadel Tools Hog Ringer, a box of 2,500 galvanized hog rings, and a cable tie tool. Though we offer several tools for installation, this tool kit is comprised of tools that are specialty in nature and difficult, if not impossible, to find in home improvement stores.
The cable Tie Puller / Cutter tool is used primarily for the Free-Standing Fence system to more quickly and more easily tighten and secure the "Heavy Duty Zip Ties" that secure the fence and chew guard to the posts and arms. The trigger handle on the tool cuts the tightened tie ends off for a clean look. The tool can also be used to tighten the light ties for the Existing Fence Conversion System.
The hog ringer tool is primarily used to attach the lower "chew guard" to the "upper poly mesh". The free-standing kit comes with light zip ties to do this but the hog ringer can save the installer up to 3 hours per 100 linear feet of fence. The hog ringer can also be used to attach the "poly mesh" of the Existing Fence Conversion System to cyclone (chain link) or wire fencing.
NOTE: Both tools in this kit are optional time-saving tools and not necessary to construct your fence.
