The Purrfect Fence Free-Standing Cat Containment System is designed to secure a perimeter of cat-proof fencing. It can be configured to suit your needs and can use different kit sizes to make your system as spacious as you would like.
The extremely strong yet flexible poly mesh makes climbing very difficult, but the safeguards for our cat containment systems are the Cat-Proofer™ extender arms which enable the entire upper section of the fence to pivot. The cat's weight causes these horizontal extension arms to swing downward, safely returning your pet to the ground. Once the cat's weight is released from the mesh, the spring-loaded extenders immediately return the upper section of the fence to its horizontal position.
Our system is built to last. The posts, arms, and welded wire are galvanized steel with a black powder coating and all the arm hardware and spring are stainless. All other metal components are galvanized or stainless steel and the plastic fence UV stabilized with carbon black and chemical UV inhibitors.
A single kit made into a square would be 25' x 25' (625 square feet) but most customers use the back of their house as a "side" allowing a kit to make a bigger overall enclosure and easier access for the cats. One example of a single kit enclosure off the back of a house would be 28' x 43' (so 28' out from the house - over 43' and back 28') making an enclosure that is 1,204 square feet. A two kit enclosure off the back of a house could be 65' x 65' (so 65' out from the house - over 65' and back 65') making an enclosure that is 4,225 square feet.
The system is designed to be installed by the homeowner so it is not difficult to do (site dependent). If it is something you do not want to do yourself we would recommend using a local handyman. Written instructions are included. We are also available to help you figure out how to use our systems on your property and can also talk/email you through almost any unforeseen obstacles you may run into during installation: 888-280-4066 or email Sending pictures can be helpful :)

Our freestanding system is designed to be installed by the average handy homeowner. Below you will find links to instructions as well as a short video describing the process.
Reference "What's Included." If your layout includes multiple turns or very specific side lengths, you may need additional posts (see product 2-Post Kit) above and beyond what is provided in the kits. To determine if you need more posts use these rules:
If the total posts you need is more than 8 x's the number of kits you are buying you need that many more posts.

My friend who is a contractor helped me put up my cat fence. I have a window insert with a cat door that goes out of a basement window into the fenced in area. My cats love it!! They go in and out with no problem. The fence is extremely secure and they can’t dig under it. Neither one has tried to climb the fence, surprisingly, but I feel confident if one did that the fence would gently drop them to the ground as it states. It’s a very well designed feature.
My cat loves his new enclosure. He even goes out in the rain. The fence looks and works great. It was a bit difficult to setup the instructions were clear and the video was helpful. It took us a whole weekend to put up and it really required two people. Customer service was great about replacing one of the packages when FedEx lost it.
Free-Standing Cat Fence Enclosure System with Light Duty Access Gate
I highly recommend this system to anyone with cats and room to build an enclosure.
I adopted two cats (originally found outside) who turned out to be door dashers, so I wanted a way to let them safely outside. I have experience with different brand that was an add on to an existing wood fence at my previous house. Because that system didn't work 100%, I wanted to try something different this time. I had a stubborn cat who looked for weaknesses all the time.
What drew me to the Purrfect fence system was the stand alone option, including the ability to add a gate, and the unique design. It's not only eliminated the previous weaknesses, but also gave me the freedom to build ann include closure that only covered part of my yard.
Help and support
The support team helped me with the design using pictures of my house and also helped me make sure that the tree that was too close to the fence was not climbable.
I hired two handyman to put it together and following the really good instructions of the videos provided the whole thing was done in one day.
My cats absolutely love it. I let them out for several hours every day and once they run themselves tired they come back in. They run around in the grass, chase bugs, eye the birds and they are very happy! They have never even come close to actually climbing the fence.
This was the perfect cost-effective, quality solution for us. We looked into invisible fence (doubted its effectiveness, didn't want to freak out our cats), fencing our whole yard with wood or vinyl (way too expensive), building a catio (to get a decent size would've been expensive). The Purrfect Fence was easy to install, keeps the kitties in, very cost effective, and disappears into the surroundings (took the neighbors a while to notice it was there and they think it's pretty cool). We started with fifty feet. That went so well we ordered another fifty feet and expanded the cats' area to roam. They absolutely love being out in the backyard and on the patio and we love knowing they're safe. This was a great buy for us and by far the best of all the options we looked into.
Anyone thinking this fence does not work, I'm here to tell you it does work and do its job of keeping your cats inside my cats don't even try to escape and I have six cat's. I'll be the first to tell you this fence looks cheap and flimsy after installed but it does its job!!!
Cats get exercise, they all lost weight, they are happy, we all sleep better. Out of my office we built catwalk to enclosure. To help drive posts I took Waterhose start pushing into ground and it will break the dirt enough to get stake in ground much easier! Also be careful which plants they have access to as many flowering plants/trees are toxic to animals.
