The Existing Fence Conversion System's revolutionary Cat-Proofer™ extensions make it easy and affordable to convert most any 5' or 6' (or taller) fence or wall into a cat-proof barrier.
The pivoting fence extensions are attached near the top of the inside of your fence and the high strength mesh material is stretched between them attaching with the included zip ties. Simply secure the lower portion of the mesh material to your fence or wall and your cat-proof barrier is complete.
The system will adjust to fit just about every gate and corner situation making it very versatile. Included with each 100' kit are (12) Spring-loaded arms (12) Arm Mounting Plates w/ arm setscrew, 100' of 4' high heavy duty black poly fence (1.75" x 1.75" grid) and (100) zip ties (for 50 ft order increments it will include half of the listed components.) Keep in mind that every fence is different and there are no universally followed guidelines for post spacing, height, materials used, etc. A 50ft kit is designed for the average 50 linear feet of fence. 100 ft kit is designed for an average 100 linear feet of fence. A 200 ft kit is designed for the average 200 linear feet of fence. If you have gates, turns, short or long spans between posts then you may find that you need more or less components than comes with the kit. If in doubt, contact us first!
The system is built to last. All arms are galvanized steel with a black powder coat finish, the arm hardware and springs are stainless steel and the fence material is UV stabilized with carbon black and additional chemical UV inhibitors.
IMPORTANT: The fence mesh is the same 1.75" x 1.75" very strong poly material we use in our Free Standing System. - NOT a flimsy netting.
Items of note when planning your order/layout:
-Each existing fence is unique! The maximum span between arms is 12-14 feet. 8-10 Feet is preferred. Count and measure the distance between your posts to ensure that a kit will cover your fence.
-Gates in your fence line require special consideration. Read below for more information on gate planning and installation.
